CTA Community Transport Association UK,
The CTA exists to support its members and to act as the lead UK body for voluntary and community transport. MiDAS members are organisations embedded in the communities they serve. This is what shapes so powerfully the voluntary and community transport network and explains why it is so well positioned to provide services that focus on the local, on one-to-one help, on being innovative. In developing local solutions to national concerns, operators of community transport can respond to both individual and collective needs and drive forward social regeneration in their communities.
The CTA’s vision is of “A fairer society free of social exclusion and injustice where everyone has personal choice, mobility and access to the services they require.”
Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme (MiDAS)
MiDAS helps to improve minibus safety by working with your organisations to enhance the driving and passenger awareness skills for staff.
MiDAS is a cascade training scheme: the diagram below shows the MiDAS approach to delivery of training:
Some organisations may choose to train a trainer from their own organisation or they may decide to use a trainer from another organisation. Depending on which of the courses you complete the trainer will be referred to under different names.
